About Orange Ventures

Jerome Berger is the President and Managing Partner of Orange Ventures.
Jerome joined Orange Ventures in 2019 as CEO to deploy the fund’s new ambition. He was the head of Orange Group Financing and Treasury since 2012, managing the Group’s Balance sheet and funding, as well as the multi-billions financial investment and derivatives portfolios. Prior to that, he occupied various key positions at Orange, notably in equity capital markets as well as project and infrastructure financing in Europe, Africa and the Carribean region. Jerome has a 20 year-experience as a Board member, and serves today as a Director of Orange Spain and Orange Bank. He also overlooks globally the development of Orange Fintech infrastructure projects, and co-founded the start-ups NowCP and ID2S in 2017.

Clément Combal is a Managing Partner at Orange Ventures.

Clément started his career at Orange Group where he first worked as a business analyst in the content division, before joining the investor relations team as an investor relations manager.

He then joined the Mid & Large Caps team at Bpifrance, the French sovereign wealth fund, which invests in French listed and private companies across a wide range of sectors and industries.

Prior to joining Orange Ventures, Clément was an Investment Director at Crédit Mutuel Innovation, the venture capital arm of Crédit Mutuel, investing in technology companies, from deeptech and healthcare to digital.

Clément is a graduate of Sciences-Po Aix, holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy of Science from EHESS and studied at the European University Institute.

Mathieu is Managing Partner at Orange Venutres.

With 20 years of experience in Private Equity and Venture Capital.

He has made his career in various capital investment funds (SG Asset Management, Supernova Invest), working primarily with digital innovation companies,  at various stages of maturity from Seed to capital development.

Prior to joining Orange Ventures, Mathieu held a position of Associate Director at Amundi Private Equity Funds.

Graduated from HEC and CEMS at Bocconi in Milan, Philippine worked in M&A at Deutsche Bank, in private equity at PAI Partners and in strategy consulting at Advancy.

She also worked in growth equity for Rocket Internet’s investment fund, Global Founders Capital, in Berlin and London, before joining Orange Ventures’ team in 2021.

Aurélie joined Orange Ventures in 2021 as Head of Value Creation & Synergies.

She strongly believes that Orange Ventures has key assets to share beyond the investment act. She is passionate about tech and innovation and puts her strong business development background, and knowledge of Orange Group at work to foster synergies and bring support to our portfolio companies.

Prior to joining OV’s team, Aurélie held various positions within Orange with a strong tech and business development focus, as Key Account Manager for OBS global industry customers, and financial services focus being responsible for Orange Money deployment in the MEA area. She also worked in Private Equity for Groupama, in Audit for PWC and as consultant for Paris Airports.

She holds an engineer degree in aeronautical science (ENAC) and a master of science in management from European School of Management (ESCP Europe, Paris) with a focus in Corporate Finance. She also has a strong international experience, having studied and worked in Munich, Shanghai & London prior to coming back to Paris.

With a strong B2B business and management background, Rémi is passionate about the society’s evolutions generated by digital technology and innovation. In particular, he has developed solid sector knowledge in the fields of enterprise software, AI and cybersecurity. Rémi, who holds a masters’ degree from CentraleSupelec and an executive advanced master from ESSEC, is also particularly active in the digital associative ecosystem. Remi is involved in Orange Ventures operations in Europe & MEA region.

Partnership success manager

Estelle graduated from IESEG Paris and Bocconi in Milan.

She started working in audit at YUMA audit in Paris and at PwC in Luxembourg but also as a consultancy at G.Ventures in Paris. Then, she worked in fundraising analyst at Eldorado in Station F, before joining Orange Ventures in 2024 as a junior investment associate

Guillaume graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Imperial College London Business School.

He started working in the energy transition sector in strategy consulting at E-Cube Strategy Consultants in Paris and then in financial advisory for infrastructure financing at EP Group in London.

He worked in VC at Bpifrance Large Ventures in Paris, before joining Orange Ventures in 2023 as a Junior investment associate.

Gary took part of the Orange Graduate Program in 2021 at Orange Business in the Cloud division as a mix of bid manager and financial officer for complex and strategic Requests For Proposal both public and private.

In addition of his last financial position, his previous experiences in big companies as an engineer and in smaller ones as sales allow him to have a complete understanding of tech businesses.

He joined the financial department of Orange Ventures in February 2023.
